COOLOCK ARTANE CREDIT UNION COMMUNITY INITIATIVE 2011
To help save lives in our community, Coolock Artane Credit Union is donating 18 cardiac defibrillator machines to local community organisations and schools in our school savings scheme. Chairperson Catherine Bannon had the honour of officially launching this initiative in St Brendan’s parish church in Coolock Village on Wednesday, August 10.
At the launch, Catherine presented a defibrillator machine to Fr. John Hand for the parish, this was followed with a demonstration on how the defibrillator is used. Also this year the Credit Union donated defibrillator machines to St Brigid’s Girl’s National School in memory of Abbie Byrne and to St Brendan’s Boy’s National School.

Talking about the initiative Catherine stated “…this is a very positive initiative for our community and CPR and defibrillator training will be provided by the Credit Union to the parish and schools”.
