CUDA "Credit Union Development Association" What is CUDA? Credit Union Development Association or CUDA is a progressive representative & development association representing member-owned, member-directed and professionally managed credit unions in Ireland.

Coolock Artane Credit Union is one of the founder members of the Credit Union Development Association (CUDA), a cooperative society formed in 2003 by its members in recognition of the real need for positive credit union leadership and development and as a response to a more competitive and increasingly complex business environment.

Today CUDA membership is comprised of Ireland’s most progressive and leading credit unions, with a combined asset base of over €1.5 billion and over 300,000 members.

CUDA is the only legally incorporated representative association for credit unions in the Republic of Ireland. 

By providing a voice for progressive development and growth, members benefit from CUDA’s proven ability to develop, propose and advocate strategic business solutions at national and international level.

With a firm focus on development, members will benefit from a range of learning and growth programmes which will position their credit unions as exemplary community owned, directed and managed co-operatives.

Is to act as a catalyst for the growth, development and expansion of credit unions as the ethical alternative to profit driven financial institutions, by identifying and meeting the representative, service and development needs of progressive credit unions in a value-for- money manner, while operating to the highest standards of integrity, accountability, transparency and trust.
